Pages E701–E706: Slominski A, Zbytek B, Szczesniewski A, Semak I, Kaminski J, Sweatman T, and Wortsman J. "CRH stimulation of corticosteroids production in melanocytes is mediated by ACTH." (http://ajpendo.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/288/4/E701).

In the abstract, the third sentence reads: "The chemical identity of the cortisol was confirmed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry without mass spectrometry-mass spectrometry analyses." It should read: "The chemical identity of the cortisol was confirmed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC/MS2) with mass spectrometry-mass spectrometry analyses."

In MATERIALS AND METHODS, under the heading POMC promoter activity on p. E702, it reads: "Luciferase reporter gene plasmid containing POMC promoter region and fragment of the exon 1 (from –394 to +365 bp) was constructed... ." It should read: "Luciferase reporter gene plasmid containing POMC promoter region (from –771 to –8 bp) was constructed... ."
